Butte is surrounded by blue-ribbon trout fishing opportunities within an hour’s drive that include the Big Hole, Beaverhead, and Jefferson rivers. In addition, there is an abundance of large and small lakes and streams that offer great fishing. There are many public fishing access sites managed by the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest, Bureau of Land Management and Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks.
